Gabrielisms

If it walks like a duck, chances are….

Talking with the Grandkids:

I was talking with my toddler grandson Gabriel yesterday when he told me about his pet turtle he keeps in the little pond in the yard. He kept telling me that he was a “baby-turtle” and referring to him simply as “baby turtle”. I asked what the baby turtle’s name was, when his mom interjected that, that was in fact his name. My grandson then looked up at us and very matter of factly said to us “He’s not a “bumble-bee”, and he’s not “Optimus-Prime”.

(I was left wondering if he’d thought us not to be the brightest crayons in the box.)

Ever wondered if there are real kids on earth that are truly loving to eat greens?
Well, here they are!
In this video you can see our children eating a raw vegan pesto (with wild edibles), kelp noodles and kale leaves.
This is a meal we do more often these days as then kids love it so much.
I hope that we can inspire you with this little show and make clear:
Kids DO love dark green leave vegetables!

Many a child has been raised in a home, without electricity, or indoor-running water, or gas.

Many a child has been raised in a home, without electricity, or indoor-running water or gas.

These days, people who have more money, pay extra money, to go and spend a portion of time living exactly like this, with no indoor-running water, gas, or electricity, and they call this “a vacation”.

For people who haven’t got that kind of cash, they must surely feel lucky, to be “on vacation” all the time.

Some people still use outhouses, way out in the countryside here and in many other countries, and draw their water from a well or other water source, heat and cook using solar, wood, coal, or some other type of fuel.

There’s nothing wrong with having the basics, doing things yourself without having to pay someone else to pipe, pump, or otherwise bring it all in to you, just so long as you have the basics covered and covered well enough, then that’s fine and all you really need to do. I myself, find it much less stressful to just take care of these things myself, and NOT be so concerned with concentrating on money all of the time. Plus there’s the added sense of accomplishment, and the good kind of pride in a job well done, that you miss when you just fork out paper reserve notes to some stranger.

At the end of the day you’re not stressed and worn out, your a good solid tired from a good day’s work, providing the things that you need for yourself, and your family, and you tend to sleep better, more soundly, and wake up more rested than you would being stressed out over paper I.O.U.’s/Fictional money not backed by the gold standard or any “real” goods /Paper notes from the privately owned Federal Reserve which keep us on a constant treadmill of earning and paying with no real way out of indebtedness or light at the end of the tunnel.

People, are important, money, is not. Having and spending more time with the spouse and kids, and learning how to do for oneself, is more important. If it can be grown, made or found and gathered, you can do it, or if you can’t then do what you can, and trade that with someone who can for what you need. We have air, water, solar, and other things to use for power.

The real truth is, that if you can get a place, to build a place, then you can work with it from there, and you really don’t need money once you get yourself all set up to run without it, and band together with other like minded people who are doing or working toward likewise.

Think about it for a minute, and you’ll see what I mean.  😉
